MixMob, a gaming platform built on Solana, has obtained licensing rights for the Original Stormtrooper, a renowned character from the 1977 film Star Wars: A New Hope.
With this license, MixMob can incorporate the iconic character into its card racing game, Racer 1, in the form of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), as announced in a press release. Stormtroopers, prominent soldiers in the fictional Star Wars universe, are widely recognized figures in the entertainment industry.
This agreement signifies the commencement of MixMob’s official licensing strategy. According to a company representative speaking to CoinDesk, MixMob aims to secure three additional licenses in 2024.
MXM, MixMob’s governance and value-generating token, has experienced a 1.2% increase in value over the past 24 hours, according to data. Meanwhile, the CD20, a benchmark for the broader crypto market, has surged by 6.4%.
